Sihao Chen is Associate Professor of Economics at the School of Business, Hong Kong Baptist University, where he has taught since 2024. His research spans international macroeconomics, monetary economics, and the Chinese economy, with a particular focus on international production networks and business cycles, heterogeneous-agent models in open economies, and RMB exchange rate policy.

His work has appeared in leading field journals, including the Journal of Monetary Economics, the Journal of International Economics, and the Journal of Economic Theory, covering topics such as local currency pricing and international tax policy, consumption heterogeneity under open-economy monetary policy, the propagation of financial shocks through production networks, and the welfare costs of currency unions.

He previously held an assistant professorship at Fudan University and was a researcher at the Shanghai Institute of International Finance and Economics. He earned his PhD in Economics from HKUST and his BA in Finance from Sun Yat-sen University.

My research interest focus on International Macreconomics and Finance.
