Kar Lun CHAN public CV

Dr. CHAN Kar Lun joined the Department of Economics at Hong Kong Baptist University as a Lecturer in 2022. He holds a Bachelor of Economics and Finance and a Master of Economics from the University of Hong Kong, and obtained his Ph.D. in Economics in 2020.

Prior to joining HKBU, Dr. Chan worked as an Economist at a major commercial bank in Hong Kong. He also has several years of teaching experience at various tertiary institutions across the city.

Dr. Chan’s research interests include Urban and Regional economics, the Economic History of Hong Kong, and the application of artificial intelligence technologies to enhance teaching and learning. He teaches courses in data analytics, macroeconomics as well as urban economics.
